Step 1 Stick the cut strips to the sticker paper

Place cut strips of colored paper on the sticker paper: (see figure 1)

  • Line up the paper strips parallel to the long edge of the sticker paper.
  • Leave gaps of 1/8" between the strips.
  • Fill the entire sheet with strips, varying the colors as you go along.
  • Peel off the rest of the backing paper and finish sticking the paper strips onto the sticker paper. The only reason to remove only part of the sticker paper backing is to help you align the strips without having to work on the whole sticky surface at once.

Step 2: Cut strips from your assembled sheet

Cut the paper strip piece into strips along the short edge of the paper. This will create a strip of small rectangular shapes of alternating color.
